‘One if by land…’

“One,if by land two,if by sea” originated from the famous secret signal Paul Revere orchestrated on April 18, 1775 to alert the colonial militia of the advancing British Army at the onset of the American Revolutionary War. The old North Church depicted above in Boston, Massachusetts was used for this purpose; the tower of which reaching into the sky was visilbe for miles especially with a light at the top at night.
